  • Appliances and kitchen furnishings meticulously cleaned, free of dust and fingerprints.
  • Electronic appliances, desks, objects on desks, such as ash trays, and bins meticulously cleaned, free of dust and fingerprints.
  • Floors clean, free of stains and sticky spots.
  • Sinks, toilets, showers, and bathroom fittings meticulously cleaned and disinfected.
  • In case of refurbishment, all surfaces should be free of mortar or other residues caused by maintenance of electric systems, plumbing, or painting.

How the work is done

Before the cleaning, the cleaners must take into account the following factors:

  1.  They will pay special attention to the material of which the surface to be cleaned is made and to the instructions of the manager.
  2. They will make sure the products they use are in good condition (not expired, the product is clearly and easily identifiable by the label, and correctly stored.)
  3. They will make sure that the cleaning products and cleaning equipment are appropriate for the surface to be cleaned.

The cleaning process:

  • As a general rule, work starts first with the ceilings, light fixtures and taller furnishings.  Next, the walls, curtains and windows and furniture are cleaned, and finally the floors are cleaned.
  • Ceilings, walls, partitions, light fixtures and shutters are dusted with brushes or long-handled brushes with soft bristles so as not to damage the surfaces.  Whenever possible, a vacuum is used instead of a brush.
  • Doors, doorknobs and handles, furniture, electronics, desktop objects and, whenever appropriate, light fixtures, are cleaned with soft cloths and a light spray of a product meant to prevent buildup of dust and therefore keep surfaces clean for a longer period of time.
  •  Window panes and window frames are washed with a neutral, diluted detergent and a soft cloth or paper towel in order to reduce fingerprints.

The following steps are taken to clean kitchens:

  • First, ceilings and elevated cabinets and frames will be examined in order to be sure there are no spider webs, cobwebs or insects.
  • Next, walls, windows, doors, cabinets, countertops and furniture will be cleaned with an appropriate product diluted in water.  The type of product will be determined according to the surface material type and amount of dust or dirt.
  • Please make sure that electrical appliances, including refrigerators, fans, ovens, etc., are unplugged prior to the cleaning so that cleaners can clean them safely.
  • Kitchen appliances and cabinets are usually scrubbed down with a diluted cleaning product, rinsed and then dried.  The drying is fundamental in order to prevent spots and water marks.
  • As a final step, the floors are scrubbed.

The following steps are taken to clean bathrooms:

  • First, ceilings and elevated cabinets and frames will be examined in order to be sure there are no spider webs, cobwebs or insects.
  • Next, walls, windows, doors, cabinets, countertops and bathroom fixtures will be cleaned with an appropriate product diluted in water.  For sinks, showers and toilets, a disinfectant and/or descaling agent will be used as appropriate.
  • Special care will be taken with taps and faucets, marble and other metallic surfaces to insure they are not damaged by the product used.
  • The inside of the toilet bowl will be cleaned with an undiluted product in order to eliminate calcium buildup.
  • Special care will be taken during drying to ensure no spots or water marks are left after cleaning.
  • As a final step, floors will be scrubbed.
